For us the purchase of Alphacino is a major bonus and one we have to say a big thank you to Team Haslam for. This ultra tough and consistent 2yo was claimed out of Mick Channons yard by Patrick who then alerted us of him becoming available. We had no hesitation in taking him on board and cannot wait to see him race in our colours.

To date he has raced 10 times which have included 1 win, 2 seconds and a third amassing £6,500 in prize money. The win came over 7f at Thirsk and was on his first outing from Patrick’s stable where under a patient ride from Hayley Turner he was held up before making steady headway 2f out. He then hit the front 1f from home and kept on well to score by a length from the second horse Mary Helen who has since come out again and won.

Patrick has given him a short break which has freshened him up nicely and he is now fit and ready to run. We aim to take full advantage of his love of racing and plan to keep him busy on the AW this winter where we hope he can be successful for us. After that the plan is to school him over hurdles ready for the juvenile races next year.

A horse who is a proven winner and one we look forward to having a lot of fun with over the coming months.
