Rinaria Wins At Beverley
Rinaria travelled over to Beverley on Sunday 27th August where she lined up in what looked a hot little race despite there only being six runners in it. The step up in grade to a 0-85 and the quick reappearance coming only 4 days after the Bath run were a bit of a concern, but the Good to Firm ground at the East Yorkshire course wasn’t and she absolutely thrived on it. The pre race plan was to sit in and track the leaders but as they swung for home it was obvious she was travelling far too well so jockey Joey Haynes gave her the office and she soon put daylight between herself and the rest of the pack. Our initial thoughts were that he’s gone too early on her, but the 3L margin he created never looked in danger and he even had the luxury of easing her down towards the line for what was a comfortable victory.
Rinaria 2nd at Bath
Wednesday 23rd of August saw Rinaria make the long trek south where she lined up in an open looking 0-75 Handicap over a mile at Bath with Joey Haynes returning in the saddle. Despite the ground slightly being on the Softer side of Good she put in a tremendous performance to finish 2nd only being out speeded by a better handicapped horse in the last half a furlong
Farewell to Fidelma
It was with a somewhat heavy heart that we said farewell to Fidelma Moon as she went through the Ascot HIT sales in July. We bought Fidelma as a Yearling and over the years she has been a grand servant to us, running regularly and treating her Owners to some top days out at some of the country’s finest courses. We wish her new connections all the best with her and hope she provides you with some great memories like she has done with us.
Rinaria 2nd at Pontefract
Rinaria lined up at the West Yorkshire on Sunday 25th June in what was a decent little 0-85 Handicap over a mile. Joey Haynes took over in the saddle and under a good positive ride from him she nearly pulled off a great result only being collared in the last 100 yards by the well fancied Mick Channon horse. This was probably her best run to date and she lost nothing in defeat as there were some decent horses well beaten off behind her.
Trip to France
Undiscovered Angel headed across the channel when she lined up for us in a Maiden Race at Deauville and although things didn’t go quite how we had planned, due to a terrible draw, it was a great experience for her Owners and one we may look at doing again.
